Stress-free

One of the main advantages of train travel over driving, getting the bus or flying is that it is much less stressful. All you have to do is simply arrive on time, get on the train and find a seat and you can then sit back and enjoy the ride. This is much different to driving which requires constant concentration and flying which many find to be stressful. Additionally, this also means that you can spend the time how you wish whether this is listening to music, reading, working or even catching some shut-eye.

The less luggage you have to carry, the less stressed you'll be. Consider bringing a backpack or rolling suitcase that is easy to maneuver.

Food and drinks can be expensive on trains, so it's a good idea to pack your own. This will also help you stay hydrated and energized during your journey.

Many trains in Scotland have Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected for free during your journey.

Listening to music or podcasts can help you relax and pass the time on your journey.
